The Salt Parlour Identity

I’ve recently completed a very enjoyable branding project for a new startup company called The Salt Parlour. The company promises it’s customers that their sea salt and sulphur scrubs will make your skin look and feel summer smooth – so it was essential that a bold, iconic yet timeless logo was developed to reflect this. A refined version of the anchor logo with the initials ‘S’ and ‘P’ was also developed for use across social media platforms. The second phase of the project was to develop label artworks which would be applied to the products packaging, with a punchy colour palette developed to differentiate each scrub variant. Check out the project in full here. The Salt Parlour have recently launched their e-commerce website, so why not take a look at their fabulous products here and become a #SaltyScrubber.

The Cellars Alehouse

I am delighted to be involved in the development of an identity for a new Micro Pub called ‘The Cellars Alehouse’. Currently running the bureaucratic gauntlet, The Cellar’s Alehouse should be opening in Maidstone in the Autumn of 2015. The Micro Pub specialises in Craft Beers and will be situated in the cellars of the old Style and Winch brewery for that perfect touch of historical resonance in the county town of Kent. Here is a sneak preview of some of the identity progress so far, more to follow soon.

New Personal Branding

For a while I have wanted to develop a new personal identity and was excited to finally have the time to sit down and explore some ideas. I wanted this logo to represent my clean and minimalist style of work. My starting point were of course my initials “M” and “P”. Those offered many great opportunities for a letter-mark. But I wanted the simplest and clearest depiction of these initials possible and this is the final result, check out the project in full here.

Glaze Catering specialise in weddings and corporate events with an aim to bring a fresh, modern perspective to catering. I was recently invited to develop a printed brochure that could be distributed to clients. The key focus throughout the project concentrated on developing a design with a quality and premium feel in a flexible format that could also contain menu inserts. The outer page was printed on a heavyweight stock with the logo foil blocked to give it the desired luxurious feel.

I was recently commissioned to redesign the website of Mountains Country House, a beautiful wedding venue in Kent. Delivering on average 80 Weddings and Events per year, it is essential that brides and event planners can easily access content and vital information for their events. The new website features an improved homepage design, cleaner layout of page content, and an intuitive and consistent site-wide navigation system. It is also accessible through a wider range of web browsers and devices, including mobiles and tablets, and has been designed to meet all relevant accessibility standards. New York, New York

I recently visit New York for a short break with my Wife, we had a fabulous time – what an inspirational place NYC is with so many wonderful things to see. We enjoyed exploring on foot the labyrinth of streets lined with iconic buildings and landmarks. It truly is a photographer’s paradise and it genuinely felt like we were on a movie set everywhere we went! Despite the temperature being so cold, we had clear blue skies that were perfect for our views of the city from the top of the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center. From watching the Knicks play at Madison Square Gardens and rocking the night away on Broadway while watching Rock of Ages, to paying our respects at the haunting 9/11 memorial, our trip was an unforgettable experience. On our final day in Manhattan it snowed heavily and made Central Park the idyllic setting to enjoy a relaxing walk and ice skate after a jam […]
